Lilly was born and grew up in Solihull and she has been fascinated with flying ever since she was around 5 years old.  She went to Saint Martin’s School in Solihull from the nursery all the way to sixth form. Lilly studied French, German, and Music A-level and whilst still at school she commenced flying from Coventry Airport, achieving her first solo at 16 years old. This is still one of her most proud and memorable moments!

Since then, she achieved both UK & European Commercial Pilot’s Licences along with the associated Multi-Engine Instrument ratings.  Lilly qualified as a Flying Instructor at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome.  She gained her European (Irish) licence at Cork in Ireland.  Whilst completing her flight training, she also worked part-time in a children’s nursery.

Lilly joined our staff instructing team in March 2023.   Whilst with us she has been able to share her love for flying with our student pilots and found it most rewarding to train and pass on her knowledge to future pilots.

Lilly has five siblings.  During her leisure time, she loves to spend time with family and friends.  She attends Pilates and yoga classes at least 3 times a week.

Lilly loves music.  She plays the violin and piano and achieved a Grade 8 in piano in 2015 which, was something she is very proud of.  She will endeavour maintain her musical skills alongside a flying career with Ryan Air whom she commenced working for in January 2024 flying the Boeing 737.

Lilly remains a part-time instructor with us when available.
